Interview with WEBO about my project

Hi! My name is Mariah Salter; I have been in Girl Scouts since 2nd grade. I am an ambassador scout and am currently working on my gold project, which is the highest level award a Girl Scout can receive. The issue I chose for my project was the limited access of instruments to middle and high school students. At the Owego Apalachin School District, it is expected starting in 6th grade that each student that participates in the band provides there own instruments. Not every family can afford the cost of an instrument, and this can prevent kids from being able to join. This GofundMe would be raising money to repair instruments I collected back in April 2021 and help me reach my project's goal of having the factor of affording an instrument not stop a child from pursuing band.
