Hi, my name is Nick Johnson as some people may know I am one of Ethan Fletcher’s closest friends. Whether you have met Ethan in a gym, school, out on the road riding his bike, or just seen his face whether it’s been in a crowd or online please take the time to read this post.
This fundraiser has been organized to bring awareness and support towards the situation Ethan currently is in.
On Sunday August 17th, 2025 around 11:00pm Ethan was riding his Kawasaki Ninja 250r sport bike when a collision between him and another vehicle occurred. This collision caused him to shatter his wrist as well as breaking a total of 3 bones within the region of his right hand. 4 more bones were broken in the upper regions of his right arm including one of the two major forearm bones which is in need of an orthopaedic surgery to install a plate to aid his arm to recovery and support it once healed. Along with all the injuries to his arm Ethan has also suffered a cracked hip making it difficult for him to walk and proceed with his daily activities. All the physical pain being caused within his injuries cannot come close to justifying the other losses that Ethan has suffered due to this situation. As I arrived at the scene of the collision, his bike had looked as if it were unable to be saved from the damage inflicted on it due to the accident and it had practically been totalled during the collision. During the last week leading up to the accident Ethan had been ecstatic at the fact that he had lined up a deal to sell his bike and start saving up for a new one. The way Ethan described it was truly amazing because whenever he talked about bikes whether it had been his own, any others he had seen on the road, or for sale on apps like Facebook Marketplace there had always been a smile on his face. Not only was Ethan excited about selling his bike but he had also just received a job offer that would allow him to start saving more money as well as providing him with a head-start on his career. As his friend this situation is truly heartbreaking to witness and be aware of due to condition it has left him in. As of the time that I am posting this I have been informed that the job offer he had received has now been terminated. Along with that he will not be able to continue work for the next couple of months within his other place of employment due to the injuries he has suffered. Losing out on his source of income and the opportunity that could have benefited him and the path he is searching for after graduating high school earlier this year makes this a truly devastating impact on his life. As bad as this situation is, it is truly a miracle that Ethan has survived this collision taking into account all the casualties that are seen within the bike community each year. This fundraiser has been organized to help raise money, awareness as well as support towards Ethan while he recovers and gets back on track to living his normal day-to-day life. Thank you to all the friends, family, gym buddies, bike riders, and even strangers who have taken the time out of their day to read and acknowledge this post. I hope you all will keep him in your thoughts and prayers. As of right now Ethan is at home awaiting his surgery along with keeping somewhat of a positive attitude towards this whole situation.
Thank you as anything helps whether it’s through your thoughts and prayers, raising awareness, sending messages, or generous donations all in support towards his recovery in this situation.
Right now this fundraisers goal is set at $2,500CAD to help fund physio, help provide him with aid financially while he is unable to work, and whatever else life decides to throw at him.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me as opposed to Ethan as I would like to let him take the time needed to recover and rest without any extra stressors entering his life.
Please reach out to me on any form of social media or the number which will be provided in the bio on the gofundme app/website.
Thank you to all the people who have supported, shared, reached out, and donated to Ethan in the first 12hrs of this post being public. The amount of gratitude and appreciation I have cannot even come close to being expressed through words.
Thank you for taking the time and consideration to read this post,
