Help the Walker Family while Boston fights cancer
Spende geschützt
The Walker Family are one of the most beautiful, hardworking families you will ever meet. Living in a small country town three hours from Perth, Dad (Anthony) runs his own trucking business while Mum (Olivia) homeschools their 6 children.
On Wednesday March 17th 2021 their eldest, 11 year old Boston was taken to our local hospital, before being transferred to Bunbury for what they believed at the time to be a bowel blockage. By that Friday he was transferred to Perth Children's Hospital where Boston was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma.
Whilst his bone biopsy and other scans have come back clear, (which means the cancer is localised to the pelvic region) Boston still has a long road ahead of him. His doctors are treating it very aggressively- his first round of chemo began on April 1st and he is already on his second round. They will need to remain in Perth for the duration of the chemotherapy as Boston is not able to be more than an hour away from the hospital. This is looking to be as long as 7 months. The family are currently being hosted by Ronald McDonald house who have been incredible, however we wanted to support them with the extra costs that come with being so far away from home and provide some relief so Dad isn't needing to spend every moment working and can be with his family a little more.
Any help is very much appreciated in supporting this much loved family through one of the hardest journeys they will ever need to face.
