Help Support Baby Lyla Rae and the Rodriguez Family

Hi, my name is Trinity Jones, and I’m reaching out on behalf of our dear friends, Jay and Miya Rodriguez. They recently welcomed their beautiful firstborn, Lyla Rae, into the world. But just two weeks after her birth, their lives were turned upside down.

Lyla suddenly began experiencing seizures and was found to have a dangerously low body temperature. She was rushed to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, where she remains today as an incredible team of specialists work around the clock to find answers.

Doctors suspect a serious brain infection, but they have yet to identify the cause. In the meantime, Lyla has been diagnosed with enlarged ventricles, brain lesions, and a severe inability to regulate her body temperature. She will need multiple brain surgeries, including the placement of several VP shunts to relieve pressure and drain fluid from her brain.

Her road ahead is uncertain, and her hospital stay is expected to be long. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll is overwhelming. We’re raising funds to help cover the mounting medical bills—hospital stays, treatments, surgeries, and all the care sweet Lyla will need to give her the best possible chance at recovery.
