Help Steve Wilson

Our friend Steve Wilson is in need.

If you know Steve, you know what a happy and compassionate man he is. He loves fishing, eating, being with friends, sharing, and working. The dedication he exhibits to his work is exceptional. I can't tell how many times I've pointed out to him to spread that energy out a little more.

Ho w many times has he brought fresh fish or green chilies, (from New Mexico), to you?

So here's the story of what's happened recently. Every day he crosses the border to go to work in San Diego. He switches over to his company truck, parked in the Home Depot parking lot, in San Ysidro, and goes to work

Steve crosses early in the morning, about 4:30 am, before the Border Patrol begins using their drug sniffing canines.  Apparently this pattern drew the attention of drug traffickers.

And then, last Friday he was going to take a fishing trip and crossed later in the morning. The dogs were alerted to his truck and a large quantity of pot was discovered in magnetic boxes. The boxes were on the undercarriage of his truck.

Who knows how many times he was taken advantage of and used as a “blind mule?” This practice has apparently become a norm in the drug trafficking world. There is plenty of information on this kind of occurrence online.

Victims of blind mulling have lost their vehicle, cell phone, computers, and all personal belongings in the vehicle. Apparently the government is not taking into consideration that people like Steve are victims. They are going to charge him with drug trafficking.

Steve has three children that are dependent on him. This is a large part of why he lives in Mexico, to better provide for them. I truly believe that they are going to have a really tough time with this and it will cause years of confusion for them.

We are raising money for his legal fees. If Steve gets a proper defense, it's very possible that he will not be convicted of felony drug trafficking. It’s even possible that he might recover his truck, his cell phone, his computer, his tools and his fishing gear.

Steve does not deserve what is happening to him.

Please Help him and please share this with your friends.
