Help Steve Buy His Car Back

Many of you know Steve. For those who don't, Steve is a caring, helpful dude going through a divorce. In an effort to be a kind as possible, Steve decided to do everything through verbal agreements, and not involve lawyers at all. The only thing Steve wanted was to keep his car in the divorce. Now that the divorce is being finalized, the other party has decided to sell the car to get the money instead. 

This is literally the only thing Steve asked for in this entire thing - to be able to keep his car. 

Steve has been studying, getting tech certified, and applying to jobs since this all started, but doesn't currently have the funds to buy his car back from his soon to be ex-wife. 

Please help Steve out. He's trying incredibly hard to move forward in his life, while also helping out me and my family as I underwent health issues over the last two years. Without him and his help, often at the cost of his own career moving forward, my family would be a lot worse off.

He's a really great, kind guy that just needs a hand to put his life together and give him a sense of value again. 

We'd like to have the money together by the end of October (three weeks from this creation), and prior to leaving the state. 

Every dollar helps, and even if we don't get enough to buy his car back, hopefully we can find a solution for him so he can continue to better his life. Thank you all for any help you give. It means the world.
