Help SteppersWOC fund pitch hire and kit

SteppersWOC are a bunch of women of colour all over the age of 40 who love playing the beautiful game of football. We are a newly formed and began playing in April 2021. We play a slightly slower version of the game called walking football every Sunday morning at Finsbury Park come rain come shine at a outside free space in Finsbury park. Our sessions are focused on fun fitness and well being. We are inspiring women of colour to return to or take up walking football as a way of helping with our community's recovery from the effects of Covid19 and address physical and mental health issues. The women enjoy the session immensely and we regularly receive positive feedback such as:

Our structure aims to take away all the barriers that hinder women of colour enjoying football. We would like support in order to continue to running the sessions all year round and now that the bad weather will soon be upon us we are seeking funding to pay for indoor pitch hire in the colder months. We are also looking to raise money to provide the women with a football kit. The team offers the women a real sense of belonging and camaraderie, offering a kit they will Be proud to wear will further cement that sense of team belonging and unity.

able to continue with the sessions they thoroughly as well as give opportunities for new members to join the group. Funds will also create an opportunity for SteppersWOC to be able to put on kit they are proud of.
