Help Us Get Stacey Urgent Neck Surgery Please!

Hey all ! For those who don't know us, my name is Chris, and my AMAZING wife is Stacey -and she needs all of our help to get her the surgery she needs on her neck. Recently, we found out from getting a neck scan done that she has a massive herniation that is pushing on her spinal cord and nerve root. The doctor says this is likely from some kind of incident or injury from 10-15 years ago! We have racked our heads to figure out what could have caused this originally, but have come up blank.

Around 6 months ago, she woke up with a sore neck thinking she slept on it wrong. So for months, she tried different pillows, sleep habits, and some massage - and nothing was helping. We then scheduled her a neck scan and were delivered the news of the herniation upon getting the results. We scheduled an appointment with a spinal doctor to review this with him. He immediately put Stacey in a neck brace and advised she needs to have it on until she gets surgery to fix the herniation. He then ordered an MRI for a more detailed look at what was already tentatively determined to be a surgical fix. After reviewing that MRI, it was a 100% determination that surgery was the only option.

Fusion surgery is of course an option to fix this, but not an option we want to take. Fusion surgery is only a temporary fix and involves putting metal and screws into her neck, which we want to prevent at her young age.

We have chosen to go the route of laser spine surgery. The only thing about this surgery is that insurance of course does not cover it. We have chosen a highly recommended doctor for this procedure and have made a deposit to secure a surgery date with him. This date is looking like it will be in mid to late February.

$20,000 is what we need help raising to pay for the surgery.

Stacey is now in a neck collar brace 24/7 until the surgery is completed. As anyone can imagine, her quality of daily living has become tough in every way. Driving, cleaning, playing with our dogs, general hanging out, dancing, and just about anything she likes to do including her boxing gym for Parkinson's Disease, which she was diagnosed with last year as well.

Stacey has been a major part of many fundraisers for many friends, family, and general public over the years. We are really counting on any help that may come our way !
