Update on Shyanne’s Journey ❤️

We wanted to share an important update on Shyanne’s medical journey. After running more tests, her team at Massachusetts General Hospital has decided to hold off on a full leg amputation for now. Instead, they will be trying new treatments and surgeries in hopes of saving as much of her limb as possible.

This means Shyanne will remain in the hospital for an extended period and continue to be out of work as she undergoes multiple surgeries and treatments. Her next procedure will take place this week, where doctors will remove more of her foot and amputate her big toe in an attempt to stop the infection and give her the best chance to keep part of her foot.

Although we are grateful for this glimmer of hope, the road ahead remains incredibly difficult — physically, emotionally, and financially. Shyanne has already endured so much pain and loss, and there is still a long journey of healing to come. The financial strain continues to grow with lost wages, ongoing medical bills, travel expenses, and an extremely high insurance deductible that simply does not meet her medical needs right now.
