Help Shawn Recover After Heart Attack
$1,000 to raise
My name is Shawn Griffith, and at 51 years old, I recently experienced a heart attack that changed my life. The event left my heart significantly weakened, with an ejection fraction of just 30%, meaning my heart is only pumping about half as effectively as it should. Since starting cardiac rehabilitation a week ago, I’ve faced the challenge of struggling to breathe during workouts, but I’m determined to fight back and reclaim my health. My medical team has been incredibly supportive, guiding me through each step and emphasizing the importance of consistent, safe exercise to strengthen my heart and improve my ejection fraction over time.
Living in Kansas, I know that harsh winters will make outdoor walking nearly impossible once I finish rehab. My cardiologist and rehab team have stressed that maintaining my exercise routine is critical for my recovery and long-term health. That’s why I’m seeking help to purchase a quality treadmill or stair stepper designed for cardiac patients. Having this equipment at home would allow me to continue my prescribed exercise regimen safely, monitor my heart rate, and build my cardiovascular strength regardless of the weather. It would make a huge difference in my daily life, ensuring I can keep up the progress I’ve started in rehab and reduce the risk of future cardiac events.
Your support will help me maintain my health, improve my quality of life, and give me the chance to keep moving forward. Thank you for considering a donation to help me reach this important goal.
