Spende geschützt
My name is Sharon Bowman. I am 55 and a nurse for the last 37 years. 4 1/2 years ago, I had breast cancer. Radical mastectomy and lymph node removal and months of chemo and radiation. Did my PET scans every 6 months—negative. In November of this year, I had back and stomach pain. Thought maybe an appendicitis. CAT scan showed bone lesions in ribs, spine, pelvis, and femurs at Thanksgiving. Time for PET-scan. At Xmas, it showed bone cancer lesions in my skull plus a bone biopsy that confirmed Metastatic breast cancer stage IV. Time for a brain MRI revealed a cancerous brain lesion at the bottom of the cerebellum in the brain. Yes, this is not curable and sad. But I am trying to do something good with each day I have. The treatment goal is oral chemo and heavy radiation to buy me time and possibly put this in remission again. It’s depleting my finances quickly, making it a struggle to survive. Your kindness and generosity in helping me beat this burden are greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sharon B
