Even though the Pandemic is behind us for now, the impact it had on local businesses was devastating. Including one of the most successful salons in New Orleans. Shannah Green is a well known stylist infamous for the salon "Twisted". While trying her best to keep her business alive, she fell victim to the loss of income she was used to generating. Combined with an illness that appeared out of nowhere, she found herself unable to do her duties as a stylist not only from the pandemic, but the use of her hands had become an issue.

Debilitating pain and a new chronic arthritic condition made her hands useless. She had to close her business and walk away with the impending bills unpaid.

Without an income she found herself unable to pay her mortgage on a house she was very close to paying off. Falling behind on mortgage she found herself in a day to day situation to pay off and stay afloat and housed.

Coming out of the pandemic she ended up with hand surgery, further keeping her from employment, and unable to work or really collect unemployment she fell behind again in the mortgage. Our goal here with this go fund me is to help her catch up and keep her house.

The lender is now calling for final payment on her house and right now that she is finally employed in a different career, its not enough to shell out the monies to keep up. My hope with this go fund me is to help her keep her house, and the monies she put into owning it.
