Single Mom Needing Second Job/Housing/Storage
Donation protected
As I'm sure many people know by now, my marriage met a somewhat traumatic end in October, and with my impending divorce I find myself quite destitute. I am still living with my estranged husband, but cannot continue to do so for a multitude of reasons.
Anything you can spare would be amazing, but I would also greatly appreciate any information on job opportunities, housing, and any other resources that may help me to find and create a safe, stable home for my little fragmented family. I have included some info on my work experience and housing needs, and if anyone would like a copy of my resume I will gladly send it.
I have been a stay-at-home mom for the better part of the past 4 years, and my current job is only 16 hours a week so I make almost no money, so I will need to acquire a second job, and hopefully pick up more hours at my current job.
Once my kids are in daycare I will be available Monday through Friday from 9-5. I have a clean record (not even so much as a parking ticket), my own vehicle, I don't drink or smoke, and I can pass a drug test with flying colors. I have extensive retail experience, some experience waiting tables and barbacking, but I am also very organized and highly driven, so I'd love an opportunity in an office or cleaning environment. I also plan to go into the FCTC Medical Assisting Program as soon as my life stabilizes enough to allow it. I am trying to find safe housing that is at least 2 bedrooms within range of Webster Elementary so that my son's school life is not disrupted. Again, ANY information would be extremely appreciated.
I am also in desperate need of a place to store every material object that is important to me, and a way to move it there. I only own 4 large pieces of furniture, but they are antique and handed down to me and I'd be devestated to lose them. I also have A LOT of boxes, so I will probably need a rather large unit. Thus, the $300 request.
I will gladly reimburse everyone one who donates as soon as I'm on my feet, or happily work in trade. I just need a chance to get there. Thank you for your time and any help you are able to spare.
