UPDATE — 1/19/26
Leo has been diagnosed with mast cell cancer. He has started chemotherapy and has stabilized for now, responding to treatment.
The veterinary team has recommended a splenectomy (spleen removal surgery), which has a strong chance of significantly extending his life when combined with ongoing care. The vet has emphasized that this surgery is time-sensitive, and it’s important that it’s done as soon as possible.
We’re taking this one step at a time and are incredibly grateful for the continued support.

-------
Hi everyone,
Leo is my 4-year-old cat, my best friend and the heart of my home. Through injuries, setbacks, financial stress, and personal struggles, he’s been the one constant by my side.
He sleeps next to me every night, greets me at the door, follows me from room to room, and has given me more emotional support than I could ever explain. If you know me, you know how much Leo means to me.
Over the past few months, Leo suddenly started getting sick, vomiting, and losing weight.
After multiple vet visits, medications, and tests, we finally got an abdominal ultrasound done. That’s when they discovered a mass in Leo’s small intestine.
The radiologist said it could be cancer, specifically lymphoma, but there’s also a chance it could be a benign mass or an ulcer. The only way to know for sure — and to save his life — is to get a biopsy or have the mass surgically removed.
Right now, we are racing against time.
‼️ What Leo Needs:
Biopsy or Surgery to Remove the Mass
Estimated: $3,000–$8,000
This is the most urgent step to diagnose and treat the mass in his small intestine.
Cancer Staging Tests
Estimated: $350–$700
Includes bloodwork, X-rays, and follow-up imaging to determine if the cancer has spread.
If Cancer Is Confirmed: Chemo Treatment
Estimated: $1,500–$3,000
Oral chemotherapy (chlorambucil) plus monitoring over several months.
Medications & Supportive Care
Estimated: $150–$400
Includes nausea meds, ulcer medication, pain relief, and appetite support.
Follow-Up Visits & Emergency Care
Estimated: $300–$600+
Needed throughout treatment to adjust medications and monitor recovery.
