Help with Ruthie’s Dental Surgery

Ruthie is an amazing cat. She survived a very hard life, living feral in a cat colony in Yakima Wa for 13 years before being picked up by a rescue group. She was spayed and placed in a home to see if she’d adjust to indoor life. She made it clear she never wanted to go back outside, and eventually found her way to us as a brief foster, before we adopted her. She came to us very sick, severely underweight, with an extremely high uncontrolled thyroid and dental issues. Over the last 9 months we have gotten her thyroid under control and showered her in love and safety. For the first time in her life, she has melted into human connection and felt truly wanted and at home. Because she is. Now we need to tackle her dental issues as they’re causing her severe pain. She lost all but three of her teeth while living outside all those years, and now those remaining three are all infected and in need of surgery. We are fundraising to help cover the cost of this expense as it’s simply higher than our current finances can manage alone.

Ruthie has fought her whole life to survive. We want this girl to know absolute comfort and peace the rest of her life. She has shown us how brave she is, how much she’s transformed from the anxious kitty that arrived here to the calm, composed and charming lady she is now.
