Kerala, the southern most state in India is referred as God's own country because of it's greenery and natural beauty! And that's my home state, where I spent first 22 years of my life!
Monsoons are very common in Kerala but this year nature is taking it's toll and has already created a lot of havoc in Kerala. Many cities, towns and villages in Kerala is flooded, and added to that landslides in several areas causing transportation hurdles. Power outages in several areas as power stations had to be closed down to reduce risk. This is the time we have to come as a team and support the needy.
People like me who cannot be physically there can only raise awareness and money to support the people in trouble. So please donate and help Kerala restore it's natural beauty soon!
We are raising this fund to help the flood affected areas in Kerala (my hometown in India). I know about lot of my friends and relatives who have been impacted due the the flood situation and I have been working with few of them directly for assisting the impacted people.
Rest be assured that 100% of the fund collected from this campaign will be used ONLY to assist the people impacted by the flood situation in Kerala.
To allay any concerns related to accountability, all amount donated will be send directly to a US checking account. All collected funds will be sent to vendors directly. Lakshmi Krishnan who is part of relief team will assist in facilitating direct payments to vendors.
