Please Help Replace our Stolen Boy Scout Trailer and Gear
On Friday night, 02/06, or early Saturday morning, 02/07, our (Maple Grove, MN) Boy Scout troop’s enclosed trailer was stolen from a church parking lot. Inside the trailer was nearly all of our troop equipment — tents, cooking gear, patrol boxes, and supplies that support outdoor programming for 35+ scouts.
A police report has been filed, and the theft has been widely shared with the community. We had a tire lock, a tongue lock and airtags on the trailer, but none of them worked. Unfortunately, the loss of the trailer and gear has an immediate impact on our ability to continue camping trips, training, and planned scouting activities.
This equipment represents years of fundraising, careful planning, and community support. Replacing it all at once is a significant challenge for the troop and our families.
These boys give back to the community with various projects, both as a troop, and individually:
- Roadside cleanup in front of Maple Grove High School
- Helping with grounds keeping at a local cemetery
- Placing wreaths on gravestones at Ft. Snelling
- Feed My Starving Children
Our Troop averages 1 - 2 Eagle Scouts every year. Each Eagle Scout project that the Scouts complete is something that directly impacts and gives back to the community.
We are asking for help to replace our enclosed trailer and essential camping gear and supplies for 35+ scouts.
All funds raised will be used directly for troop equipment replacement. Any funds raised beyond immediate needs will help rebuild troop gear and improve security to prevent future theft.
We are grateful for any support — whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or keeping an eye out for the stolen trailer.
Thank you for helping ensure our scouts can continue learning, camping, and growing together.
