Help Jasmine Reclaim Her Life from Chronic Lyme Disease

I never imagined I’d be writing this letter, but today, I am reaching out with deep vulnerability and urgency. Over the past two years, I’ve been battling a debilitating and mysterious illness that has completely upended my life. What started as knee pain after a simple at-home workout has escalated into a full-body struggle—crippling joint pain, relentless fatigue, brain fog, nerve tingling, muscle spasms, and a host of other symptoms that have left me barely able to function.

I fought tirelessly for answers. Over a two-year period, I saw 32 specialists, underwent extensive testing, and tried everything from physical therapy to acupuncture and holistic treatments. Despite my persistence, I was met with dead ends, misdiagnoses, and doctors dismissing my pain. The most devastating part was losing my ability to walk and relying on mobility aids for my regular day-to-day activities. But my spirit was strong. I refused to give up on myself. After months of advocating for my own health, motivated by a persistent fear that this disease would take my life before I even knew what it was, I finally received a diagnosis that explained it all: Chronic Lyme Disease.

Lyme Disease is caused by bacteria that are transferred into humans when bitten by a tick. When left untreated or misdiagnosed, it can wreak havoc on the body, causing severe inflammation, arthritic, neurological, and autoimmune-like symptoms. In severe cases, it can attack your vital organs such as your heart and reproductive organs. My case is progressive, severe and will leave me bedridden if not addressed with proper treatment. And unfortunately, the U.S. medical system does not offer adequate treatment for chronic Lyme. Worse, insurance companies—including mine—do not cover the cost of treatment. This means that people like me are left to suffer unless we can afford to pay out-of-pocket for life-changing care.

There is hope. Saint George Clinic in Germany specializes in inpatient cutting-edge Lyme disease treatment, offering innovative therapies that have helped thousands reclaim their lives. After review of my medical file and symptoms, the clinic recommended that I complete two courses of treatment (1 month). This is my best chance at healing—but it comes at a significant cost.
