Help Rebuild The Dr Eka Orphanage

The dr Eka orphanage has been up and running for many years, it is located in a remote village in Edo - Benin city, Nigeria. The orphanage is home to 16 children, last year the properties were damaged by freak storms and flooding.  At the present time  the orphanage cannot function as intended due to the damage and lack of funds.  Most of the children have been temporarily rehomed to locals within the village until the orphanage can be rebuilt.

The orphange originaly was a mould building that was not strong enough to withstand harsh weather, Which is why they have started to build a new building with blocks , unfortunately they are unable to proceed any further with the project as they need assistance with funding.






We propose to rebuild the orphanage to a high suitable standard, also on the complex they are in need of a health clinic and educational centre for the orphans and local villagers. The orphanage sits on a large land area which will be suitable to farm and harvest fruits, veg, and herbs and rear livestock.




The aim is to provide the orphans of Edo state and local villages a chance to live healthy and to provide treatments for tuberculosis, malaria, fevers and diseases from dirty water.




It is imperative for the local children to have an educational centre as we need to raise the literacy rate as it there right to education that will assist them in constantly evolving world.

Historically Benin city was a thriving city that was called the great city of Benin by the Portuguese who were fascinated by the beauty and layout of the city.  
Today the people of this land are in need and we ask you to please spare a thought and donation to these unfortunate people of Edo .

Solar panels to provide electricity to the complex
Water to be obtained from fresh water stream with a filtration system in place
Waterwell for back up
Machinery to aid in cultivation of fruit and vegetable crops,  natural herbs, and livestock
to create food surpluses to last through each year.


I laverne the organiser decided to take it upon myself to arrange this fundraising because i have known dr eka for many years, and i have been buying natural herbs from him as they are trusted and reliable ditributors of natural medicine. Dr eka and the edo villagers like others should be able to live a standard and modern life so they can continue to provide, so  please try and give a little something back and fight against poverty.
