For over 12 years, Rhythms of the Village has been a vibrant cultural center and boutique in Altadena. My family and I are long-time residents of this beautiful community, and Rhythms has served as more than a business—it’s been a space where neighbors and families unite through multicultural festivals, Saturday drum circles, African dance, sewing workshops, and celebrations that bridge cultures and generations.

On January 8th, 2025, the LA fires reduced our beloved home to ashes. We lost hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of African drums, instruments, artifacts, sound equipment, sewing machines, and art—tools that helped us preserve and share culture. But thanks to your incredible support, Rhythms of the Village has not gone silent.

✨ What We’ve Accomplished So Far:

• Hosted Village Spring Fest, honoring and uplifting Altadena residents while uniting our multicultural community.

• Continued our Saturday drum class, preserving a cherished tradition.

• Partnered with Altadena Healing Village and LA Commons to bring healing and the arts to our community.

✨ What’s Next:

We are getting closer to securing a new space in Altadena where Rhythms can rise again. And on November 22nd, we’ll host our Village Fall Fest, a joyful, multicultural celebration to remind our community that unity and culture cannot be burned away.
