My name is Tashe-Ann Earle, and I’m a 26-year-old first-generation college student currently living in Florida. I was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where all of my family still lives.

I’m raising funds for my grandmother, granddad, and two aunties, who lost everything when Hurricane Melissa tore through Jamaica. Their homes—four in total—were completely destroyed. The pictures you see are what’s left of the houses of my Grandmother and my aunt ( my cousin and her baby lived here) that once held our family’s history, laughter, and love.

Right now, my family is homeless. They’re staying with neighbors and community members while trying to salvage whatever they can. No electricity, no running water, and very little food remain. The goal of this fundraiser is to help them rebuild their lives from the ground up.

How the funds will be used

Transparency is important to me, so here’s exactly how donations will be used:

Rebuilding materials – lumber, zinc sheets, cement, nails, and paint to start rebuilding each house.

Temporary shelter – tents or rental housing while construction begins.

Basic living essentials – clothing, bedding, and kitchen supplies for daily needs.

Food and clean water – ensuring everyone has enough to eat and drink during recovery.

Transportation and labor costs – paying local workers who are helping clear debris and rebuild safely.

Every dollar will go directly to my family in Montego Bay. I’ll be sharing updates and photos as rebuilding begins, so donors can see exactly how their support is changing lives.
