Help Rebuild FemaleBlack Owned Beverage Businesses

Donation protected
My name is Imani M-Glover, owner of the The Lemonade Bar, LLC. We specialize in fresh squeeze handcrafted lemonades and organic frozen handcrafted lemonades. I am writing on behalf of The Lemonade Bar and other small Oakland/Bay Area African American owned beverage companies.

We are seeking financial support to help us navigate the devastating financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Lemonade Bar has suffered a grave loss in revenue this year (2020) due to the pandemic  OR (because of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic).

Although we have had some improvements to our business, we have also run into multiple hardships (No catering gigs, no concerts, no fairs, festival or farmers markets) . We need help to sustain our beverage company so we can continue to thrive and finish out the year stronger than we started.  Our plans for some of the monies received are to purchase professional  grade equipment ( Juicer , water filter and PFR beverage license ), supplies, beverage licenses and pay for our commercial kitchen space.

We are currently seeking donations to help further our business as well as other black owned beverage companies.  Here at The Lemonade Bar we pride ourselves on recycling the black dollar, so a portion of our (the) donations will be donated to several other African American owned beverage companies with hopes of them also being able to upgrade equipment, pay for their professional licenses, and the maintenance of their brick and mortar location.  We want to help replenish the funds lost by black owned beverage businesses in the community and surrounding communities.

At this  time because we are a small business and we don’t have a brick and mortar we have been denied business stimulus money and grants from other organizations . This is one of the reasons why we felt the need to do this campaign. we need the community to come together and show their love for the people and the businesses that have added light and value to the beautiful community of Oakland CA.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We have set the goal for $83,000 to not only help our business, but also to help as many businesses as we can. If we can do more to assist more businesses, that would be great.  Our black businesses have not only been hit with the unfortunate financial setbacks from COVID-19 , but now have been hit hard because of closures due to the protests that are taking place.

Whatever you have in your heart to give, we are appreciative. No amount is to small.

We also can’t wait to share with our community/tribe as to how the monies are used . Thank you.
