Help Rebel & Her Human Recover from Emergency Vet Visit

Hey all, anyone who knows me knows my dog Rebel is the light of my life. She has saved me countless times, and this time it was my turn to save her.

On October 17th, 2024, my girl went into shock and had to be hospitalized for 4 days. Rebel was diagnosed with Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome, which is stomach and intestinal bleeding, vomiting… it’s a life-threatening intestinal condition that there’s no known cause. We caught it right in time, seeing she went into shock right when we brought her to BluePearl Animal Hospital in Lafayette, CO. The wonderful staff there made my girl comfortable and took such great care of her, and she is on the road to recovery.

But as we all know, medical care for animals is extremely expensive. I work as the manager of a bagel shop in Boulder. I love what I do, but the service industry is not necessarily bringing in a lot of income. I have no regrets about saving my dog’s life; she is the rock of my life and the reason I have made it this far in life. I know the world is full of just causes that could also use donations and help. Dogs are a gift to us; my girl has helped me through the hardest of times. I’m so thankful she is here.
