Help Raya Start Her Taxi Business

Raya Ali Hassan is a 39-year-old woman from Tanzania. In October of 2024, I traveled to Tanzania and met Raya while she worked as a maid in my hotel. We began to talk and quickly became acquainted. Raya is a joy to know and is one of many educated young people in her area who have few job opportunities and face poverty. Raya and I kept in touch, and I soon began to think of her as part of my extended family.

During one of our many discussions, we talked about needs that would enhance her life in Tanzania. I want to be able to assist her in reaching one of her goals, which is to purchase a scooter for her to use as a taxi. Taxis are a common way to earn money in her community.

A scooter costs about $4,000. It is my birthday wish to be able to help her raise money for a scooter. Instead of birthday gifts, I kindly ask you to donate money to help Raya reach her goal. Any amount is greatly appreciated and could offer a better way of life for a deserving young lady.
