Help Rachelle Fight for Her Life: Stage 4b Ovarian Cancer
Donation protected
Update: March 10, 2025 | Rachelle went to MD Anderson and saw the specialists there, but at this point there isn't anything they can do apart from recommending chemotherapy. We are staying positive and Rachelle is set to begin chemo next week, with your generous donations helping with those costs. Please continue to pray for the doctors to have wisdom and clarity in treatment plans, for Rachelle to stay strong in body, mind and spirit, and for her family, especially her son. Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and support!!
Our sister, Rachelle Templin, lives in Bend, Oregon, and pours her heart into everything she does. For nearly 20 years, she's been a dedicated teacher, guiding and loving her students with the same care and dedication she shows her own son. She's a devoted Christian and someone who brings light into every room she enters.
But now, Rachelle is facing the fight of her life. She was just diagnosed with Stage 4b Ovarian Cancer. She has a rare and aggressive form of cancer stemming from a genetic condition called Lynch Syndrome that is causing it to spread very rapidly. She has already had three surgeries in the last four months, and yet the cancer is still spreading. While this news has been devastating, there is a glimmer of hope — a miraculous opportunity to be treated at MD Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston by a team of doctors who specialize in her specific genetic condition. But her insurance won't cover all of it, and the financial burden is overwhelming, especially since she's had to take a leave of absence from her job to fight this.
As a family, we're reaching out to you — her friends, colleagues, and anyone who has been touched by her story — to ask for help. Rachelle is the first to give of herself, whether it's investing in her students, her church, or the people she loves. Now, it's our turn to support her.
We're asking for donations to help cover the costs of her treatment, travel, and everything else she needs to fight this battle. Whether you can contribute financially, share her story, or send your prayers, every bit helps. With your help, Rachelle can receive the treatment she so desperately needs and continue to be a mother to her 12-year-old son, a sister to us, and a bright light in so many lives.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, support, and prayers.
