Hello my dear friends, my name is Michella and together with Q-Jaelly's mommy we have started this page for Q-Jaelly.
Q-Jaelly is a 4 year old girl from Aruba and she has been diagnosed with CMT type 2 A / HMSN. This condition damage peripheral nerves - the nerves that are responsible for passing on commands from the brain to the muscle.
Your donation will be used for:
- Find approriate housing that can accomodate Q-Jaelly and her family.
- Pay for her medical bills and medical needs for mobility (wheelchair, special shoe's)
- Basic home appliances for starters
The mail goal is: Help Q-Jaelly and her family move from Aruba to the Netherlands.
Short story from Q-Jaelly:
Hi friends, I'm a lovely 4 year old and thiis my story:
2 months before I turned 3 years old, I started to fall and twist my legs constantly. On 5 January 2023, I fell really hard and was rushed to the ER. No broken leg or foot but because my leg was looking different, I was assisgned to a Orthopedist. Very quickly a team of specialized doctors where assembled in order to assist me.
17 May 2023, I was send to Colombia for several tests which had to be done for my diagnosis. All was good with exception of my electomonography test. Blood tests took a while. On my return to Aruba, on 28 August 2023, I was yet again sent to The Netherlands for further tests. Sadly, by 20 November 2023, it has been confirmed that I have CMT Type 2A. You could only imagine how hard this news for my parents.
My doctor in the Netherlands suggested for me to be/stay in the Netherlands for the help I need and this, where I need you. My parents are working very hard to move me out of Aruba to the Netherlands and I need your help financially to make this possible for me. My parents needs a helping hand for the beginning of a new life for me.
