Help Pugsley Overcome Cancer

My name is Chris Erica and I am raising funds for my horse Pugsley to have the Squamous Cell Carcinoma tumors removed from his penis. I've had Pugsley for 18 months and in those 18 months, he has become my best friend, my buddy, and as the barn calls him, Pug the Thug. He may be 20, but he thinks he's 4 and ready to ride!

After 20+ long years without horses in my life, I have returned to the equine world much older, less flexible, and a lot more tired but Pugsley is my boy and together we enjoy beautiful rides around the barn property or Russ forest with our friends.

6 weeks ago, we thought he had just a build-up of bacteria caused by yeast, something that some Monistat would cure but it didn't go away. It got to the point where his nether regions were clearly causing him issues, as he tries to scratch that area with his hoof or a large round bale of hay.

This past Monday, the vet came out to take a look and sadly yes, my boy has several tumors on the shaft and tip of his penis. The only option is surgery to remove them and at this moment we are not sure which surgery he will need. It could be as simple as removing just the tumors or as severe as a full penile resection with a new urethra opening.

Either option is costly and yes we do typically have an animal emergency fund, but well, 3 days ago a fox decided to attack my 8-week-old puppy and our emergency fund has been drastically impacted.

So I come to GoFundMe to see if I can raise the much-needed funds to take care of my boy, so he can continue to live a happy and healthy life.
