Help Keep Me Safe On Duty

First and foremost, I am very humbled to even create this fundraiser and ask others on my behalf to assist with the financial need to purchase equipment needed in my personal safety while performing my sworn duties as a police officer.
I do so only because another officer suggested it and out of real personal need.

Sadly, in most cases departments do not provide funding to their officers for the equipment that is needed to continually and properly assist them in their duties unless they are full time. Even part time officers are typically subjected to less financial assistance than their full time co-workers.

I truly love being around others. Working in a community and being an integral part in assisting everyone to live life to its fullest with a safe environment and a sense of security to become the best version of themselves.
This fundraiser is for the main purpose of purchasing a ballistics vest that now more than ever is desperately needed to help protect myself and make sure that I am giving my family and myself the best opportunities to do the job while remaining as safe as possible and ensure that I have the best opportunity to come home safely afterwards.

Here in Indiana the majority of Police Officers deaths have come from ammunition that is beyond the capacity of an entry level ballistics vest (level III or IIIa). In today’s industry it has become more vital to have a higher rating.
In recent past this was only achieved by heavy plates that were added to an already weighty vest. Sadly this resulted in most officers never considering this as a daily wear option.
Fast forward to now. With the advancement in technology higher ratings are available today without heavy plates needing to be inserted into the vest and is meant to be comfortably worn as a daily duty option.

This system is what I am raising money for, the vest alone is less than the amount I am raising. The total amount reflects the cost of the ballistic vest and the carrier needed to complete this package and to be within compliance of the departments uniform code.
Any finances beyond the amount requested will be used for any and all future financial needs of equipment needed to better serve my community and assist in my safety while performing such duties.
