Hi there, We are a family of 4, Nicky, Chris, Beau and Bear circumnavigating the world, it all started after a Huge life changing experience when I caught meningitis and nearly died, I decided life is too short and Im going to live for today and take my family on a round the world adventure! Before I was even out of hospital I had decided I was going to learn to sail, use every last penny I had to buy an old catamaran, refurbish it and circumnavigate the globe, luckily my family decided to join my crazy madcap adventures! I have struggled with illness for so many years I can't even remember a day without pain, but throughout this journey so far I have managed to carry on, even though I have a agonising spinal condition and a heart condition, I don't regret a second of it! So here we are, we have managed to renovate a Prout Special 35 catamaran, we learnt to sail, we set off and sailed down the Atlantic coast from the UK across to France then we crossed the Bay of Biscay (that was scary but fun!) sailed on exploring Portugal and Spain through Gibraltar strait and into the Mediterranean! What an adventure so far, we have been a little delayed by Covid but in the mean time I've been working very hard to learn how to make a website, get funky on social media and use new editing software to create vlogs for YouTube! I have a lovely growing subscription on my Youtube channel and it is doing well, I also started Patreon and have some truly wonderful Pickle Family Patrons who are supporting my productions and actually giving me loads of help and advise, which brings me here to say we are a little stuck, we have got so far and I desperately want to continue on creating new and wonderful video content for my YouTube channel and Patrons, but I'm struggling to earn enough money to cover the cost of the camera equipment we need ( I have to do all my videoing on my phone) and vital boat equipment, like self steering gear and a water maker so we can manage longer crossings like the Atlantic! we also need to fix my rudders as they are becoming worryingly wobbly and we really need a sun canopy as helming it crazy hard with the blaring sun beating down on you! And last but definitely not least my faithful companion, best friend and love of my life past away last year and without my dog at my side I am half the person I was, I would love to be able to get another doberman and have part of my heart back!
