Help Penny Walk Again: Support Her Surgery
Spende geschützt
Penny went missing for 9 days after slipping out of a friend's fence on July 4th. When a group of kids found her near the woods of their apartment, they called my dad, and he and my sister took her to Indy Animal Urgent Care. The doctor deemed from her fractured pelvis and road rash that she had likely been hit by a car around a week before being found. The fracture she has is near nerves and requires a specialist for surgery.
Penny was a foster through Love of Labs Indiana. She lived as a stray for the first year of her life and I started fostering her soon after she joined LOLIN. I failed her foster when I fell in love with her energetic, goofy personality and decided to adopt her. She loves to play with my sisters dog, Cora, and is in obedience classes. I love working on commands with her and growing with her.
Penny is my second dog and has her own special quirks. She loves trash and required me to get a heavy-duty bin that even I can barely open. She loves scaling the counters and once ate a loaf of bread off the top of the fridge. She can be surprising at times, but we have grown so much together, and that is why I love her. We have taught each other so much.
Since this surgery requires a specialist, insurance will not be enough to cover it. This was a very unexpected expense and any help, support, and contribution to get Penny healthy and walking without pain will mean more than you could ever know.
