Support our high school rocknroll club elective

Hi! I'm a social worker at a twin cities high school and this January we are turning our after school rock club into a formal elective. Kids will learn the basics of guitar, bass, or drums and then form a band with their peers. At the end of the term, the bands will perform original and cover songs for their classmates. Learning the collaborative skill of playing music has been shown to have mental health benefits for teens, reducing stress and regulating their mood. In the tradition of DIY rock 'n roll, ours students will learn how to work together for a common goal with none or limited formal music training.

Your donations will help us get some better music gear for the school as well as offer a stipend for our guest instructor.
