For over 2,000 days Community Action for Windsor Bridge has been peacefully maintaining a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week vigil to protect Thompson Square, the oldest public Square in Australia. Plans by the NSW Government have already seen irreplaceable convict heritage destroyed. If they continue, our heritage listed bridge will be demolished, more rare heritage will be destroyed and we will STILL be stuck in with unacceptable traffic.
On the evening of February 11, cowardly thugs attacked the tent, breaking the frame and bending the poles, forcing the two Ambassadors inside the tent to make a hasty retreat as the tent collapsed on top of them. They were thankfully unhurt.
So now we need a new tent! We are overwhelmed by your generous offers of support, and your contribution to our ongoing fight means we can continue to be your voice.
