Help our Healthcare Workers during the Pandemic

This pandemic has created an experience unlike any our healthcare workers have faced before. The constant strain they have been under these past 9 MONTHS has left them physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. At HCW HOSTED, it is our mission to facilitate community support for healthcare workers and their families, through 3 main avenues:

1. Services
     ⇨ We coordinate safe housing accommodations for self-quarantine, so our healthcare workers (HCWs) can rest a little easier knowing they are not putting their families at risk.

     ⇨ We provide:
           ⤷Daily health-monitoring and wellness services for HCWs
           ⤷Mental health support for HCWs and their families

2. Advocacy
     ⇨ We have made several appearances in local, national, and international news,  ensuring the HCW perspective remains at the forefront.


     ⇨ We share personal stories from HCWs, amplifying their voices for all to hear.
     ⇨ We created the Health Citizen Pledge, so community members and government officials can commit to protecting health through prevention and planning.
     ⇨ We held a live-streamed memorial on October 11, 2020 for healthcare workers who have died of COVID-19, and continue to collect names for our digital memorial.

3. Information
     ⇨ Our team of medical anthropologists and epidemiologists reviews, critically evaluates, and presentsCOVID-19 information as it emerges so we can help HCWs and community members find current and accurate data and safety recommendations.

We have officially entered the "3rd wave" of the pandemic. Healthcare facilities are beyond capacity and HCWs are running on empty. HCW HOSTED's current infrastructure cannot accommodate the impending surge. That's where you come in.

⇢ assist the most financially-vulnerable HCWs
⇢ help other cities develop similar models to support their HCWs
