Aloha, friends, family, and kind strangers —

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and hope in my hands. My father has been diagnosed with a serious lung condition and urgently needs a life-saving lung transplant. This is the only option left to give him a chance at a longer, healthier life.

Unfortunately, this journey comes with overwhelming challenges — emotionally, physically, and financially. In order to receive the transplant, my father must travel from Hilo, Hawaii to the Washington and remain there for at least one year after surgery for recovery, close monitoring, and follow-up care.

While insurance will cover a portion of the medical costs, there are many essential expenses that are not covered, including:

Medical procedures and medications not covered by insurance

Travel to and from the mainland

Living expenses for a year away from home

Food and daily necessities during recovery

Transportation to and from follow-up appointments

We are doing everything we can as a family, but we simply cannot do this alone. That’s why we’re humbly asking for your support. Every donation — no matter the amount — brings us one step closer to giving my father the chance to breathe easy again.
