Help ons gezin: Een gedwongen sluiting, een openstaande lening en de strijd tegen kanker

Beste vrienden, familie, klanten en sympathisanten,

het is ontzettend moeilijk om deze stap te zetten en om hulp te vragen, maar we zien geen andere uitweg meer. Ons leven staat momenteel volledig op zijn kop.

Sinds 2024 vecht ik, Melissa, tegen kanker. Een loodzware strijd die al onze fysieke en mentale kracht vraagt. Alsof dat nog niet genoeg was, kregen we onlangs ook nog eens een enorme zakelijke klap te verwerken. Onze huisbaas heeft besloten het handelspand waar onze zaak in gevestigd is te verkopen. Dit betekent dat we er binnen het jaar onvrijwillig uit moeten en onze deuren definitief moeten sluiten.

De financiële strop

Mario heeft gelukkig intussen weer vast werk gevonden om voor een stabiel basisinkomen te zorgen. De gedwongen sluiting laat ons echter achter met een gigantisch probleem: er loopt nog een lening van

€ 81.000 voor de inrichting en opstart van HART. Een investering die we door deze onverwachte verkoop nooit meer kunnen terugverdienen. Alsof die financiële kater nog niet groot genoeg is, wegen ook de persoonlijke kosten loodzwaar: de broodnodige medicatie en behandelingen voor mijn kanker lopen intussen op tot in de duizenden euro's.

Nu de zaak stopt, blijft deze schuld als een loden last op onze schouders liggen. Een last die we er in deze medische situatie absoluut niet bij kunnen hebben. We willen niets liever dan ons volledig kunnen focussen op mijn herstel en onze toekomst, zonder de constante angst voor deze financiële strop.

Omdat GoFundMe transactiekosten inhoudt, hebben we ons streefbedrag ingesteld op € 84.000. Elke bedrag die via deze actie binnenkomt, gaat rechtstreeks naar de bank om deze openstaande lening versneld af te lossen.

A Forced Closure, an Outstanding Loan, and the Fight Against Cancer

Dear friends, family, customers, and supporters,

It is incredibly difficult for us to take this step and ask for help, but we no longer see another way forward. Our lives have been turned upside down.

Since 2024, I, Melissa, have been fighting cancer. It has been an incredibly difficult battle that demands all of our physical and emotional strength. As if that wasn't enough, we have recently been dealt another devastating blow. Our landlord has decided to sell the commercial property where our business, HART, is located. As a result, we are being forced to leave within the next year and permanently close our doors.

The Financial Burden

Thankfully, Mario has recently found stable full-time employment, providing us with a steady source of income. However, the forced closure of our business leaves us with an enormous financial problem. We still have an outstanding loan of €81,000, which was taken out to finance the renovation and launch of HART. Because of this unexpected sale, we will never have the opportunity to earn back that investment.

As if this financial setback weren't enough, we are also facing significant personal expenses. The essential medication and cancer treatments I need have already cost us thousands of euros and continue to place a heavy strain on our finances.

Once the business closes, this debt will remain a heavy burden on our shoulders. It is something we simply cannot cope with while also fighting cancer. More than anything, we want to focus on my recovery and on rebuilding our future, without the constant fear of overwhelming financial pressure.
