I’m Nikki, a single 48-year-old mom, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my 8-year-old daughter, who has special needs. The last few years have been some of the hardest of my life. I overcame a 25-year addiction, and I’m doing everything I can to keep moving forward, but I’m also dealing with health issues that make a traditional 9-to-5 job difficult. I do what I can on the side, but right now I am running out of money for rent and I have no reliable car. My daughter was denied help with CAU after more than a year of doctors, meetings, and trying to get support. Every day feels like a challenge, and right now I feel like I am doing everything I can just to hold us together.

For the last 3 weeks, I have been renting a car and now owe over $1,000, but I have no idea how I will afford another vehicle. What we need most is a dependable car that runs so I can get my daughter and myself to therapies, doctor appointments, and the everyday places we need to go.
