Hi everyone, my name is Crystal. I am starting this fundraiser to help my brother-in-law's journey with cancer as stress-free as possible.

Geez, as you sit here and wonder what to write, emotions run high. Nick has been battling what we thought was pneumonia for months now, but it turned out to be cancer. I know, the dreaded word: cancer. After finding this out and with some more tests, it has been confirmed as Stage 4 small cell carcinoma. Alas, first comes the flood of emotions with this kind of diagnosis, then reality hits. Nick is the sole provider for his family, due to his wife's illnesses and 2 strokes—his wife and three boys. He has been unable to work due to being sick. Now they are facing not only cancer treatments and doctor appointments, but also the loss of the only income in the home.
