Help Nick Rebuild from the Ashes

Donation protected
I am starting this campaign for my son. When he turned 16 he bought a stock Jeep Cherokee. Little did we know at the time this jeep would change his life. He worked on it in his spare time while finishing up his baccalaureate program in high school and then attending college full time on an academic scholarship. Every birthday and Christmas all he ever asked for was Jeep parts. My son and I spent hundreds of hours building it with parts from wrecking yards, Craigslist, and new parts. He scraped together money for parts on a student's budget. He even worked at a local off road supply company and traded his hours for parts. In the end we managed to build a really nice Jeep. He used it to travel all over the state. It led him to start the off-road club at Arizona State University. He has made many friends in the off road community because of this Jeep. On March 29th 2018 someone stole it. They found it the next day torched in the desert. This senseless act broke his heart and everyone else that knows him. He is such a kind and generous person and I hope he can see something positive come out of this. We have receipts close to $10,000 in upgrades on his Jeep. This was all for parts as we did most of the labor.  At this point the insurance company will only cover $500 of the upgrades and the deductible is double that. We will find a way to build another one from scratch all over again. He is still the president of the off-road club he founded but he doesn't have a vehicle.  Any help or contributions would be amazing and greatly appreciated.Nick's Jeep at Table Mesa on an ASU off-road club tripJeep Interior

When his Jeep was stolen several people in the off-road community stepped up to try and locate it. That effort was short lived as they found it the next morning. The following is Nick's Instagram post after receiving the call from the police. You can also see the history on his Instagram page.

xj.nick "So the police found my Jeep on the side of the road outside Casa Grande burned to the ground. I haven’t seen it yet and I also don’t want a picture of that on my Instagram.

If you know me, you know how much my Jeep meant to me. My Jeep was my first vehicle and I had it for almost 6 years. I planned on keeping it forever before it was taken and destroyed. The amount of work I put into that Jeep in the past few years is more than I can even reflect on, not to mention the many hours my dad had helped me out with it that made it priceless. .

I drove it almost every day and took it all over the state, and it only ever left me stranded once. That Jeep took me places that I never even knew existed or would have never seen otherwise. I’ve also had the chance to meet many of my good friends and start a school club through that Jeep. .

I guess all good things must come to an end, and all that work wasn’t for nothing because I enjoyed every trip it made. It just sucks knowing I could have been better prepared for this. .

I can’t thank everyone enough for trying to track my Jeep down. I appreciate each and every one of your efforts to try and get it back to me. I’m very thankful to be a part of the off-road community and I will be a part of it again soon! Here’s to the good times my old Jeep gave me and to the Jeep I’m going to build next"
