I am a 19-year-old Telecommunications Engineering student from Maracay, Venezuela, and today I am reaching out to ask for your help. Recently, I suffered a severe knee injury that has completely halted my daily life.
The Diagnosis: An MRI scan confirmed a bucket handle tear of the lateral meniscus and a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in my left knee. The bucket handle tear means a fragment of the meniscus is displaced and is physically locking my joint. My knee is currently stuck; I cannot straighten it or walk, forcing me to rely entirely on crutches.
Why it’s Urgent: Because my left knee cannot bear any weight, my right knee is experiencing severe and painful overcompensation. I need urgent surgery to repair the damage and prevent permanent injury to both legs.
The Goal: The surgery costs $5,000. In Venezuela, raising this amount is an immense challenge for my family and me. I am also organizing a local fundraising to contribute as much as I can to this goal.
Any donation, no matter how small, or simply sharing this link, brings me one step closer to surgery and back to my studies and normal life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me walk again!
