Help Nellie’s Café Food Truck Get Back on the Road!

Hi, my name is Brianna, and I am one of the proud owners of Nellie’s Café food truck. Recently, we faced an unexpected setback when the motor in our food truck blew out on the way to an event. We were stranded on the side of the road for four hours and had to pay $800 just to get towed 15 miles back home.

Now, we’re reaching out for help to get our truck repaired and back on the road so we can continue serving our community.

Our Story

Nellie’s Café began in 2019 with me delivering peach cobbler from the trunk of my car, traveling from Sacramento to Oakland. From there, I expanded to cooking full plates, and oxtail quickly became my specialty. I’ve been blessed to earn the nickname “The Oxtail Lady” from all the love and support I’ve received along the way.

In 2022, we were able to purchase a food truck, and by 2023, Nellie’s Café was officially on the road, serving delicious meals to our amazing customers. In the short time we’ve been operating the food truck, our business has grown tremendously, thanks to the overwhelming support from our community.

Why We Need Your Help

This breakdown has been heartbreaking for us because we haven’t been able to cook or serve our community since the truck went out of commission. The repairs are costly, and we’re still trying to recover from the unexpected towing expense.

• Repair the truck’s motor and any additional issues to get it running smoothly.

• Cover some of the financial strain caused by the towing and downtime.
