I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of Marlena Sabanty for her daughter Natalia Jędrzejczak that was born with SMA disease.

Natalie is 5 years old and lives with her mom and her disabled brother in a small apartment in Łódź, Poland. She has SMA1, which is an early childhood illness which hinders muscle development. In the beginning, it affected her hands and feet and after a few months the child was not able to pick up her head and started to choke.
Thanks to many good people Natalie is alive. She received medication which stopped the progression of the illness. Up until recently there was hope for gene therapy, but a couple of days ago everything has changed.
One of the main conditions of therapy was limited to a weight limit of 21 kg it has now changed to 13.5 kg. As of now Natalie lost her chance for gene therapy but she still needs costly daily rehabilitation and equipment. Nobody knows what will happen in a month or 2. It might turn out that her lab results are positive and Natalie will get another chance to walk. Let's not ignore her now. We need to raise a lot of money and time is slipping away. Let us help her with her fight for a better tomorrow. Let's make sure she has what she needs for daily rehabilitation and equipment. Together we can do more.
