Help my sisters family through stroke and serious surgery

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister, her husband Brandon, and their sweet daughter Noa. They’re an incredibly loving and selfless family who are going through a really heavy season and they need some help. It’s not easy for them to ask, so I’m doing it for them.

A few months ago, Noa suffered a stroke and a brain blood clot. It was a terrifying, life-changing moment. Since then, she has been through so much, daily injections, endless appointments, and intensive physical and speech therapy. Through it all, she has shown incredible strength and resilience. Thanks to her hard work and her parents’ constant love, she is now walking and completing milestones we didn’t know were possible. But she still requires constant monitoring, care, and therapy to keep moving forward safely.

In the middle of all of this, my sister received life-altering news herself. After months of feeling unwell and going through countless tests, procedures, and specialists, doctors found a mass on her liver. The results were inconclusive, and cancer couldn’t be ruled out. After getting two surgical opinions, she underwent a major liver resection—removing 40% of her liver, her gallbladder, and over 10 lymph nodes. She is now in recovery and awaiting full pathology results, all while being unable to lift or fully care for Noa due to strict post-surgery limitations.

Her husband Brandon has been the rock for both of them. He took time off work through FMLA to care for his wife and daughter, but only four weeks of that leave were paid. The rest is unpaid. They are now at a crossroads—Brandon can return to work to maintain income, or stay home where he is urgently needed to care for both his recovering wife and their daughter. Neither option is easy, and both carry immense weight.

This GoFundMe is to help ease that burden so Brandon can stay home a little longer, so my sister can recover fully, and so little Noa can continue to heal in the arms of both her parents. The funds raised will go toward essential living expenses: groceries, bills, transportation, and medical needs.
