My name is Victoria and I am creating this fund for my sister. She is nervous to ask for help from the community so I decided to start a fund for her and her family.

A couple weeks ago, my sister was physically assaulted and threatened by her husband. She was able to get authorities involved and her husband was taken to jail. He was given a limited restraining order so he is still able to come to their home and speak to the children, albeit, outside the home as issued by the court. This is unacceptable and puts her in danger.

She is a mother of 5 kids, all under 18 years old and needs support with finding and affording a new place to live. She is a black woman in North Dakota and the state does not have her best interests in mind. Her friends and I are very worried for her safety as this is typically when women are at highest risk for violence.

He still has complete control over her phone, car AND finances so it is difficult for her to gain independence from him.

Please help me raise money for her so she can live in peace as she continues to work and put her children though school. She is at high risk and any amount helps.
