The healthcare crisis in Venezuela is cruel.

My mom needs to be admitted to the cardiology intensive care unit urgently. Her body is swollen from the accumulation of fluid and she cannot breathe well. She needs a lot of medications and oxygen.

My sister Jackeline and I have been living abroad, we have helped her but my mother is in Venezuela and my family has no money. One of our brothers was killed by crime in Venezuela in 2015 and that left my mother very depressed, so her illness worsened and she had to have a pacemaker inserted.
