Help My Mom JuST End Human Trafficking

For those of you who don’t know my mother, here is a little bit about her! A little over two years ago, I called my mother in an absolute desperate plea for my life. I had been on the streets of Atlantic City, selling myself for crack and heroin. Little did I know she was about to change my life forever. After I called her, a woman was sent to the Tropicana to come and pick me up. They drove me all the way to a safe house to stay at overnight then we continued on the trip to my mother’s home the next day. I arrived at my mothers home covered in dirt and blood, high as a kite and knocking on death's door. Hadn’t my mom has been able to organize such a swift extraction, I would absolutely be dead in a gutter somewhere, either from an overdose or being killed by a predator. Thanks to my mom I have been safe and living a healthy clean lifestyle for the last 2 years.
Shannon treats each and every victim like her own child, she has helped save numerous girls from sexual exploitation and trafficking. Now she has been traveling the DMV area speaking out as an anti-human trafficking advocate. Slowly Shannon Speaks has grown over the years, yet she does not profit financially from this.
JuST is an event that is being held in Cincinnati from October 14 to October 17. This event is huge for people in the same field as my mother. This offers education and networking opportunities that will benefit not only Shannon but allow her to bring back the information to those who need it the most. This also will allow her to spread her story further than the DMV area. The more she is able to share her experiences with a diverse community, the more she is able to help people like me, her own daughter.
I am making this gofundme in hopes of helping my mom go to just get to the JuST conference!! Absolutely every dollar is a step towards her getting to the conference. The airfare/hotel is $503, the entrance fee is $425 and then I am adding a little extra for meals, transportation, and incidentals. By helping Shannon you are potentially helping a victim in need.
