I am reaching out to ask for help for my granddaughter and her siblings during a very difficult time. Their mother is a single mom who works hard to keep up with the bills, but recently she received notice that her rent has increased. This unexpected change has forced her to put all of her finances toward rent, just to make sure her family can stay in their home and avoid eviction. With so much going toward keeping a roof over their heads, there is very little left for anything else, especially as the holidays approach.

There are three children in the family: a baby sister who is 2 years old, my granddaughter who is 8, and her brother who is 10. Like any children, they deserve to have warm clothes, shoes, jackets, and a joyful Christmas. Right now, their mother is doing everything she can, but it simply isn’t enough to cover these extra needs. This Christmas is especially hard and frustrating for all of them, and I want to do what I can to make it a little brighter.
