Help my friend stop harassment!

As many of you are aware, since moving to Clayton in late November of 2020, Dr. Jonathan Lee’s family has been harassed by their next-door neighbor who flies a blatantly racist confederate flag. The harassment may very well be fueled by racism and homophobia, since it has included verbal and veiled threats (i.e. one of them shouting “white power” at Jonathan on April 1, 2021).

Even though his neighbors sold their house and moved out of state, the wife is petitioning a restraining order against Jonathan based on lies. She claims Jonathan shouted at her when her husband first approached him about his anti-racist yard signs. Jonathan has video footage that shows she was not present during that incident. Even though they no longer reside in California, a restraining order against Jonathan will make him the aggressor when he was merely taking a stand against being bullied.

Please do not allow this injustice to happen!

Jonathan has not had any peace since moving to Clayton. It is just not right! He needs our help to successfully stop this harassment! Jonathan didn't feel the need for an attorney before. The money raised here are for the legal retainer. Any remaining funds not used on legal fees will be donated to social/racial justice non-profit(s). Please help him reach his goal by sharing and donating any amount you can afford!
