My name is Moamen Hemaid, a free Palestinian young man from northern Gaza, 38 years old. People know me as “The Stubborn Palestinian” because I never surrendered to the siege or fear, and I have always been a voice for the oppressed and a helping hand to my family and neighbors. I never sought fame, nor was I affiliated with any news channel or organization. I have always been an independent field reporter, covering events from the heart of danger, documenting bombings, sharing people’s stories, and living every moment with their suffering, driven solely by duty and conscience, without any protection or compensation. I survived a direct bombing that killed 37 members of my family, and I remained under the rubble for two full days without water, food, or medical assistance, surrounded by dust, darkness, and silence, with the heavy smell of loss. Today, I am in a very critical health condition, urgently needing help to survive and treat a severe injury to my jaw and mouth, complicated by coma and severe blood infection (septicemia). I live under siege, without food or medicine, while my elderly mother—the last of my family—waits for me to survive. I am sharing my story to ask for my basic right to live and to reach anyone who can help. ⸻ Who I Am & Why People Know Me I was never seeking fame, nor have I ever worked for a media outlet. I am an independent field reporter and a free Palestinian youth activist, working from the heart of danger in northern Gaza, documenting bombings, sharing people’s news, and covering events driven solely by duty and conscience, without payment or protection. My voice has always been for the people, and my camera for the truth—even if it cost me my life. I am known for my resilience, endurance, and love for serving others, always striving to be a support for my family and everyone around me in the harshest circumstances. ⸻ The Tragedy That Changed My Life In one of the worst massacres in Jabalia Camp, my family home was hit by a direct bombing. 37 members of my family were killed at once, including children, women, and the elderly—everyone I loved. I was among them. I survived, after two full days under the rubble without water, food, or medical help, surrounded by dust, darkness, and silence, but I emerged carrying unbearable pain and a memory that never sleeps. ⸻ Life After the Rubble I have never left northern Gaza. I remain trapped in a destroyed area, living amidst: • Constant hunger • Persistent thirst • Almost complete lack of medicine • Spread of germs and viruses • Contaminated environment • Constant threat to life I endured all of this because I am the sole provider for my family. I had no choice but to stand firm. ⸻ Medical Condition Date of Admission: November 5, 2025 Time of Admission: 03:33 AM Department: Intensive Care – Critical Cases Patient: Moamen Hemaid, 38 years old General Condition: • Extremely critical • Completely unconscious • Respiration: requires mechanical ventilation • Circulation: severe weakness and deterioration of vital signs Immediate Medical Actions: • Intravenous fluids • Intramuscular and IV injections • Intensive antibiotic therapy Medical Diagnosis by Treating Physician: • Coma due to severe complications in the jaw and oral region from a previous injury and chronic infection • Led to acute septicemia and deterioration in vital indicators Observations: • Partial respiratory failure • Imbalance in fluids and electrolytes • Poor physiological response to conventional treatment Initial Treatment Plan: • Connect to a mechanical ventilator with continuous vital monitoring • Continue intravenous fluids and intensive antibiotics • Monitor blood pressure and pulse every hour • Evaluate need for blood or plasma transfusion within 24 hours • Continuous monitoring in intensive care until stabilization ⸻ Why I Am Asking for Your Help Now • Provide basic necessities for my family: food, water, medicine, and baby formula • Save my life: my injuries have caused a severe coma and dangerous complications, requiring urgent surgery to reconstruct my jaw and teeth, in addition to continuous and intensive medical care Any delay threatens my life. We have already lost three members of our family due to hunger and dehydration. ⸻ My elderly mother, the last remaining member of my family, is waiting for me to survive. Today she stands with a heart heavy with grief, pleading with the world to save her son. She does not ask for pity; she asks only for her son’s life. ⸻ How Donations Will Be Used • Clean food and water for my family • Urgent medical supplies and medicine • Baby formula • Emergency surgery to reconstruct the jaw and mouth • Complete dental treatment • Post-surgery medical care and respiratory support The funds will also be used to support Moamen’s extended family members who depend on him, as he remains a primary source of support for relatives living in the same extremely difficult conditions. Every dollar makes a real difference in keeping me alive. ⸻ I am still alive, but every minute without treatment increases the danger to my life. This is not just a story to feel sorry for—it is real life, and this is an opportunity to save me now. ⸻ My Message to You I do not ask for charity; I ask for a basic human right: • To recover • To live with dignity • To return as a support for my family • And to smile without pain Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward saving my life and protecting my family from death and hunger. Every share of this appeal could be the reason I survive. ⸻ Coordination and Transparency My close friend Akram Abdullah has kindly stepped forward to help gather donations and ensure the funds are delivered to me safely. Akram and I have been close friends since our university years, and due to my current critical condition, he is managing this process on my behalf. He will receive the donations and transfer the funds directly from his personal account to me using available and reliable methods such as Western Union and PayPal, depending on what is accessible under the current circumstances. His role is to ensure transparency, proper coordination, and that the support reaches me as quickly and safely as possible during this critical time. ⸻ Please donate if you can, and share this appeal. Your support can save my life.
