Help Michelle and Dan Rebuild Their Life

Hi everyone,

I’m Cindy and recently my younger sister Michelle and her husband Dan’s apartment caught on fire yesterday. All of their personal belongings as well as their furnishings and more were destroyed by the fire and smoke.

They are volunteer firefighters/EMTs and while they were at the fire house, they received a fire call from their neighborhood. They responded to the call and were the first truck to arrive on scene, not knowing it was their place on fire until they arrived on scene.

They had two bunnies, Hershey and Kisses and a dog named Apollo who were at the apartment when the events occurred.

Unfortunately, Hershey and Kisses did not make it and Apollo was taken to the emergency vet hospital to get checked out. Fortunately, Apollo was able to come home last night with instructions to keep a close eye on him.

Michelle and Dan are ok and still trying to process everything that happened.

Michelle and Dan recently got married and lost a lot of sentimental belongings and will now have to start their life again and could really use some help. All they want to do, on their worst day, is go home but unfortunately will not be able to do so for a while now.

They are such a sweet and caring couple that are always giving back to their communities.
