Help Melissa Goodblanket pay for medical expenses

I’m Stephanie. I’m a friend of Melissa Goodblanket and I’m fundraising for her medical expenses.

 

We are in the gift giving season!! As 2021 comes to a close many of you may be looking to support a good cause. We are all aware of the challenges we face as Americans when it comes to meeting life saving medical needs. Melissa will begin a series of treatments beginning December 1st that will span over a twelve week period into 2022. Her husband is permanently disabled and his disability payment is currently their sole source of income because Melissa cannot work. She needs to raise $4000 by December 28th to meet her new deductible for 2022 and continue her treatments without interruption. Our donations are vital for meeting her medical needs. Melissa lives in Oklahoma, is a healing arts practitioner, Indigenous knowledge keeper, teacher, Elder, and is the Matriarch of her family; her presence is much needed during “these times” on the planet. She is a generous, kind, gentle person - full of spirit and fierce in her integrity. To know Melissa is to love her! Join me in holding space for her full recovery through our collective prayers for strength and restoration.

 

I know she will be humbled to know the greater community is thinking of her and caring for her at this challenging time.

Update 12-21-2021:
We are very close to our goal. Thank you all. We originally thought we’d close the campaign today, solstice. Instead, we’ll leave this open to anyone who’d like to continue to donate. The first priority as you all know was to cover Melissa’s medical expenses. Secondarily, but also important, is for Melissa to arrive safely and on time for her appointments. That means sometimes having to stay in a hotel and to pay for gas for her two hour trip to the hospital. So with the coming of the light and with so many around the world, lighting fires, saying prayers, and performing ceremonies and rituals, we leave this open for more of the world’s abundance to float Melissa’s way.
